Today we headed off on our first little family adventure. With the car packed and the dog in the back, we headed towards the river and let the road be our guide.
Unfortunately, a lot of the hills were private property and we didn’t have much opportunity for off roading but we didn’t let that ruin our trip. There were so many free camp sites along the river but for us, it was just about finding a nice secluded little spot where Jana could run free and we could enjoy our time as a family.
After a few mishaps with wild weather and wind - rookie mistake, always check the weather before going camping - we set up camp in a beautiful little cove. We threw the yabby net in, prepped some food and enjoyed our afternoon by the river.
The coolest part had to be being absolutely surrounded by nature. A falcon spotted Jana’s bone from above and circled around trying to figure out a way to snatch it. Being out in the fresh air with beautiful Australian wildlife and scenery has to be one of my most grounding and favourite things to do!
